Becoming a Member:

Since we're getting a lot of new recruits now for Guild Wars 2, I thought it might be a good idea to post our process for becoming a full Fudge member.

In short, welcome to the team! Yes, that's it. You are now a Fudge member! Isn't that great? Continue to not piss us off (which really, it's hard to piss us ALL off) and you remain a member. Sound difficult? I hope it doesn't, because it really isn't. We're quite easy going.

So here's the rules!

General Team Fudge Rules

Real Life > Games

  If you've got stuff you need / want to do in real life, gaming isn't important. Go do what you need/want to do, and come back later. We'll still be here!
Don't Be A Jerk

  Play nice, be friendly. That's enough for this one.
The Date Rule

  If we ever find out that a member of Fudge skipped a date to play video games, we reserve the right to mock them for it until the end of time.
The Stupidity Rule

  If you do something asininely stupid, please realize that we're going to make fun of you for it forever. Strawberry[FDG] deleted his Ranger in GW1 in spite of the requirement of typing the name in full, thus losing about a million gold's worth of stuff. He meant to delete a monk. We still like you, but we will taunt you forever! :)

The Membership Process

You register here on the forums, and start getting to know us while we get to know you.
You post your in game name for Guild Wars/ Guild Wars 2 so we end up knowing who you will be when we invite you to the guild. Also throwing out a Steam name or something helps us get to know you while we wait for launch, and also if we feel like gaming in something other than GW2.
Once you have done this, come and actually play games with us! Don’t just sit in the forums and read everything said without responding. Be part of the fun! We're all somewhat insane, so if you want to make a silly comment, or a thread about something hilarious that happened to you, go for it!
We spend some time gaming together on line to evaluate your attitude/maturity (see Rule #2 above)
If you've got a headset, join us in our Mumble server. This will go a long way towards you becoming an officer in Guild, as well as being more awesome in general.
Once most of the team has met you in Mumble and you've shown interest by being active in the forums and playing games with us, one or more of the members will call a vote. If that vote passes, we will extend you an invitation to become an officer, and all the good contained within.

Benefits of becoming a Full Member

Private server access whenever we have them privatized (game servers), stupid little social events here and there, and the Game Fund.
The ability (and responsibility) to recruit others into this awesome group of people.
Most important of all... a community of goofy people for when you're not doing real-life things.
Awesome hats. Really.
